The Client

A rapidly growing Waste Management Company is looking for an enthusiastic New Business Manager to join their Sales Department.

Purpose and Responsibilities

Due to strong and consistent growth we are looking for an enthusiastic New Business Manager to join our Client’s passionate and hardworking team to take on the business development and new business responsibilities for their commercial division.

The primary responsibility of the New Business Manager is to achieve sales targets by promoting and selling the companies services to clients. You will actively contribute to the profitable development of the business and help to collectively manage your pipeline opportunities and supporting the Head of New Business Development by undertaking tasks or duties which they are deemed competent to do. Key responsibilities will be as follows:

  • You will develop the new business pipeline via proactive lead generation within the defined industry sectors.
  • Follow up on all incoming WEEE leads from email, web and social media within 1 hour of them being received
  • Carry out a full needs analysis of your prospects and offer advice on the best service solution.
  • Working your individual CRM to build pipeline, identify opportunities and store intelligence. This updated daily to track all opportunities; this includes adding customer refresh cycles for WEEE.
  • Engage and strategize with prospects to demonstrate how the company can help their company.
  • Prioritising direct work and push the direct initiative.
  • Managing the sales administration tasks daily where required ensuring full sales transparency.
  • Managing the service delivery with the service team
  • Support your team members to help team achieve target.
  • Ensure smooth hand over of key accounts to the Account Management team.
  • Achieve minimum number of outbound calls per day/week as outlined in your KPI’s
  • To agree, develop and maintain your individual sales action plan as set out by the Sales Manager.


Essential Experiences

A minimum of 2 years as a Sales professional in New Business.

A minimum of 3 years within the Waste Management, Environmental, FM or Industrial Services Sector

Ambitious, Confident, Creative

Comprehensive and Technical Knowledge

Previous report writing experience

Excellent Communication Skills

Driving License is Essential
