A leading company in the Waste Management, Recycling and Environmental Sector.

Purpose of the Role

This role requires an individual to take full responsibility for managing all operations on a recycling facility and associated employees and contractors to ensure Local Authority and our client’s Service Level Agreements are achieved in compliance with all relevant Health, Safety and Environmental Legislation

Experience required:

• Experience in a similar role / level of responsibility.
• Relevant COTC Certificate.
• Organisational ability.
• Ability to drive performance and surpass company targets.
• Evidence of the ability to identify and implement change programmes that have a positive impact on operational and business requirements.
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, adaptable to a diverse variety of audiences.
• Adept at leading a team, with drive and enthusiasm to inspire staff to achieve leading-edge standards.
• Well-honed problem solving skills.
• Numerate and IT literate, including full MS Office and ability to use management information effectively.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Current driving licence.
• A high degree of flexibility.
• Financially literate. Experience of operating facilities under budgetary constraints.
• Ability to make decisions based on defined facts.
• Sound working knowledge of HAZOP procedures and commitments.
• Relevant Health & Safety Qualification. Minimum IOSH Working Safely.


• Understanding of waste management regulations.
• NEBOSH Certificate.
