Our client
A leading company in the Waste Management, Recycling and Environmental Sector.

Main Responsibilities
• To be responsible for a fleet of skip loaders
• Plan routes for collections
• Give work instructions and monitor the performance of 12 drivers and 4 office staff, i.e. briefing/debriefing during course of working day
• Ensure safe vehicle operations, MOT’s, servicing, LOLER testing, wheel security, monitor vehicle gross weights etc.
• Ensure fleet compliance with transport and environmental legislation
• Contribute toward on-going cost control, actively seeking to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs
• Ensure that all aspects of Health & Safety are adhered to, including H&S induction and training, operating procedures, near miss reporting and emergency procedures
• Ensure team complete all tachograph records and feedback on any infringements.
• You will have a good knowledge of legislation

Essential Experience
• Transport Manager experience.
• Experience in waste management or skip hire
• Excellent planning skills
• Extremely committed and have stability in previous roles
• Experience of running vehicle and driver compliance.
• Excellent IT skills and a good working knowledge of MS Office, ideally working with formulas on Excel.
• Good communication and organisation skills.
• Good MS Office skills and ideally exposure to PC based route planning packages
• Health and Safety ideally IOSH Managing / Supervising Safely or NEBOSH
CPC / Certificate of Professional Competence Qualified National or International or European Road Haulage
